A tiny little space alongside one window with bright beams of sunshine, gave me the inspiration to create on a Sunday afternoon.
I went to the store the previous day to figure out what items could give me the best results without paying an outrageous price. I ended up picking up some googly eyes, white poster board and 1 yard of $2 fabric and this blue caught my eye. I knew that the blue would give the emotion that I wanted to capture so it was just a matter of how I was going to set up in a room that felt like a shoe box. I picked a small section of the wall and set up my tripod and ended up rearranging my whole room. It all came together just how I wanted, I just had to try to convey the message through my body language. A slight tilt of the chin, maybe a small amount of hand movements and continuous focusing on my camera had just the emotional raft I intended.
I choose to be out of the box, out of the ordinary and in tune with expressing myself. This is a visual representation of what it feels like when people constantly judge, watch and discourage everything I do. I feel the need to cover and silence myself from what actually makes me happy.
